How to Consign

Thank you for your interest in consigning your luxury new and pre-owned designer handbags, clothing, shoes and accessories with The Ritz Resale. The following information will guide you through the consignment process and outline our store policy.

Our Consignor Agreement is located at the bottom of this page.


Step 1

Identify the new and pre-owned luxury designer handbags, clothing, scarves, shoes, gloves, belts, hats, perfume, and jewelry that you would like to consign.

A. All pre-owned designer clothing, shoes and accessory items must be clean and in good condition.
B. Clothing must be in current style and no more than 3-5 years old.

Please check for: Working Zippers, Holes, Tears, Stains, Pilling, or Signs of Wear.

The better it looks, the faster it will sell. Please inspect your items before bringing or sending them in. We may decline items based on age and condition. We are very selective and only choose what we believe we can sell.

We accept new and pre-owned women’s clothing in any season, however for the best return on seasonal items you may wish to wait for the appropriate season.


Step 2

Select the Luxury consignment method that is best for you.

By Appointment

You may make an appointment anytime before, during, or after store hours by calling us at 626-449-3528 or by email at staff@ritzresale.com.

Drop Off Service

Our Drop Off Service is the perfect way to avoid a wait. Print out our inventory and consignment agreement. Include your name, address, and phone number in each parcel to be dropped off. Drop off your items anytime during store hours. If any item is found to unsuitable for resale, it will be donated and a donation receipt is provided.

Courtesy Pick Up Service

Pre-qualified clients with high end designer items may take advantage of our free service. We service Los Angeles and Orange County. To be pre-qualified, familiarize yourself with the items to be picked up and call us at 626-449-3528.

By Post

Print out our Inventory and Consignment Agreement and send it along with your items to 900 Valley View Ave. #6, Pasadena, CA 91107 USA. Please include your name, address, and phone number on each parcel.


Step 3

Your high end designer handbags, women’s clothing, luxury shoes and other carefully selected items will be entered into the computer and you will receive a detailed Received Report by email. Your Received Report includes an itemized list of your items on consignment with us, as well as your account number and the date in which the 60 day consignment period begins.


Step 4

Check the status of your items and account balance online at www.myresaleweb.com by selecting Ritz Resale and entering in your name and account number. The Ritz Resale will document everything for you.

Consignment Agreement

LUXURY CONSIGNMENT PERIOD:  Sixty (60) days from the date shown on the Received Report.

PAYMENTS FOR YOUR PRE-OWNED AND NEW DESIGNER ITEMS:  Consignor receives fifty percent (50%) of the selling price. Payments are sent out anytime by request, after the consignment period ends, or when the balance is over $500.00. Account balance information is updated daily and Payment includes an itemized sales report. You may also collect cash while visiting The Ritz Resale or use your account balance as store credit.

PRICING:  Our pricing formula is the industry standard. Prices generally begin at 1/3 of the original retail and are adjusted for age, condition, demand, and style. Pricing and any reduction in pricing of consignments shall be at the sole discretion of The Ritz Resale. High end items are often sold at auction in an effort to provide the best possible return.

UNSOLD ITEMS:  The consignor has until the end of the 60-day consignment period to pick up any unsold items. Consignor agrees that an unsold item that is not picked up may be donated in the consignor’s name, to a non-profit organization. A donation receipt is provided.  Please mark your calendar for this date as we do not send out reminders.

PICKUPS, DROP-OFFS & SHIPMENTS:  Items arriving for consignment are ONLY accepted with the consignor’s agreement that any items, not accepted for consignment, may be donated.

LIABILITY:  Consignor agrees that he/she will not hold The Ritz Resale responsible for loss or damage of items accepted on consignment, in transit to or from the store, or on the premises at any time. Items that are or become seriously damaged may be donated. A donation receipt is provided. Policy is subject to change at any time without notice.
